Physical Health Program


The Physical Health & Recreation Program is a Youth Driven Program that provides the clients with healthy activities. Physical Health is as important as the other components of our being (Mental, Emotional, Spiritual & Physical). Four Youth Recreation Instructors (2 males & 2 females) will be available, so that the interest of all children and youth are covered:

  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Badminton
  • Croquet
  • Canoeing
  • Kick Ball Baseball
  • Archery for older youth
  • Swimming
  • Basic First Aid/Safe Play
  • Nutrition
  • Playground
  • Planned programs and activities: (all age appropriate activities are planned)

  • Nature Hikes
  • Tournaments
  • Scavenger Hunts
  • Kick the Can
  • Man Tracker
  • Tug of War
  • Water Balloon Tag

Physical Health is an important component for our clients as it benefits one’s whole being. Physical activity or exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life. Proper nutrition is also a component of our Physical Health Program, children and youth learn what effects proper nutrition contributes to overall health benefits.
